Getting started
CueVeil lives in the menu bar (top right of your screen) — it has no Dock icon. The teleprompter overlay appears at the top center of your screen, right under the camera.
Frequently asked questions
How do I load my script?
Paste text with the clipboard button on the overlay, or open Script Library… from the menu bar icon to write a new script, switch between scripts, or click Import…. You can also use Import Script from File… in the menu.
Which file formats can I import?
TXT, Markdown, RTF, DOCX, DOC, ODT and PDF (text-based PDFs). You can export a script as plain text, Markdown or RTF.
What are the keyboard shortcuts?
Default global shortcuts:
- ⌥⌘P start / pause
- ⌥⌘R back to the start
- ⌥⌘J jump back 5 seconds
- ⌥⌘= / ⌥⌘- faster / slower
- ⌥⌘O show / hide the overlay
- ⌥⌘H toggle hide on screen share
Change them in Settings → Shortcuts: click a shortcut and press a new combination (it must include ⌘, ⌥ or ⌃).
Will people see the overlay when I share my screen?
With Hide from Screen Sharing on, CueVeil asks macOS to keep the overlay out of screen captures. Many capture methods respect this, but since macOS 15 some apps that use Apple's newer capture system may still show it, and no app can fully prevent that. So: test before you go live (Settings → Screen Sharing has a quick test), and for the most reliable result, share a single window instead of your entire screen.
How do I open CueVeil at login?
Go to Settings → General and turn on Open at Login. You can also manage it in macOS System Settings → General → Login Items.
How do I use the rehearsal timer?
In Settings → Playback, turn on the timer and set a target duration. The overlay shows elapsed time, your live words per minute and the time left; it turns amber when you go over.
The overlay disappeared. How do I bring it back?
Press ⌥⌘O or choose Show Overlay from the menu bar icon. You can choose which display it appears on in Settings → Appearance.
Where are my scripts stored?
Only on your Mac, inside CueVeil's private app container. CueVeil does not upload anything. See the privacy policy.

CueVeil vive en la barra de menús (arriba a la derecha de la pantalla); no tiene ícono en el Dock. La barra del teleprompter aparece arriba al centro de la pantalla, justo bajo la cámara.

¿Cómo cargo mi guion?
Pega texto con el botón del portapapeles en la barra, o abre Biblioteca de guiones… desde el ícono de la barra de menús para escribir un guion nuevo, cambiar de guion o hacer clic en Importar…. También puedes usar Importar guion desde archivo… en el menú.
¿Qué formatos puedo importar?
TXT, Markdown, RTF, DOCX, DOC, ODT y PDF (con texto). Puedes exportar un guion como texto plano, Markdown o RTF.
¿Cuáles son los atajos de teclado?
Atajos globales predeterminados:
- ⌥⌘P iniciar / pausar
- ⌥⌘R volver al inicio
- ⌥⌘J retroceder 5 segundos
- ⌥⌘= / ⌥⌘- más rápido / más lento
- ⌥⌘O mostrar / ocultar la barra
- ⌥⌘H activar / desactivar ocultar al compartir
Cámbialos en Ajustes → Atajos: haz clic en un atajo y presiona una nueva combinación (debe incluir ⌘, ⌥ o ⌃).
¿Se verá la barra cuando comparta pantalla?
Con Ocultar al compartir pantalla activado, CueVeil le pide a macOS que deje la barra fuera de las capturas. Muchos métodos de captura lo respetan, pero desde macOS 15 algunas apps que usan el sistema de captura más nuevo de Apple igual podrían mostrarla, y ninguna app puede impedirlo del todo. Por eso: prueba antes de salir en vivo (Ajustes → Compartir pantalla tiene una prueba rápida) y, para el resultado más confiable, comparte una sola ventana en vez de toda la pantalla.
¿Cómo hago que CueVeil se abra al iniciar sesión?
Ve a Ajustes → General y activa Abrir al iniciar sesión. También puedes administrarlo en Configuración del Sistema de macOS → General → Ítems de inicio.
¿Cómo uso el cronómetro de ensayo?
En Ajustes → Reproducción, activa el cronómetro y define una duración objetivo. La barra muestra el tiempo transcurrido, tus palabras por minuto en vivo y el tiempo restante; se pone ámbar cuando te pasas.
La barra desapareció. ¿Cómo la recupero?
Presiona ⌥⌘O o elige Mostrar superposición en el ícono de la barra de menús. En Ajustes → Apariencia puedes elegir en qué pantalla aparece.
¿Dónde se guardan mis guiones?
Solo en tu Mac, dentro del contenedor privado de CueVeil. CueVeil no sube nada. Revisa la política de privacidad.
